Manyara Village

As you cross the Great Rift Valley, stop for a market visit in Mto wa Mbu, where stalls brim with vibrant local produce. Then, see the village from a different perspective as you Ride Like a Local on a tuk-tuk or ride a bicycle, viewing the local community and rice fields as you go.

With a guide you will start to cycle around the mountainous rugged village overlooking Lake Manyara; the topography is spectacular. There are a lot of bird species and a camera should not be forgotten. Today you will enjoy an African made lunch in an African home setup.

Later enjoy a Treetop Walkway. This 370m airwalk starts with a short board-walk that gradually rises from ground level up through the canopy of the forest. You walk over a series of suspension bridges with thick netting on the sides, and reach a height of 18m off the ground. Each of the bridges end on a viewing deck situated around tree trunks. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy life in the canopy amongst butterflies, monkeys and birds.

In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge on the Manyara escarpment for overnight rest.
