After breakfast, you go on a city tour of Kigali including a visit to the Genocide Memorial site. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide and how Rwanda has dealt with that past. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Kigali. Thereafter, drive to Musanze in the north-west part of Rwanda - the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. The drive is through beautiful rolling hills on a comfortable paved road and is approximately 2.5 hours from Kigali.

Overnight :  Bisate Lodge (Full Board)

After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, you'll drive to the park HQ for a briefing on gorilla etiquette. Park rangers will have already left to locate the habituated gorilla groups. You will be assigned to a specific group of gorillas. Each trekking group has a maximum of eight people and your trek will vary in length depending on which gorilla group you have been assigned to. After locating your assigned gorilla group you will spend one hour in their company before retracing your steps back down the volcano's slopes. Lunch will be at your lodge followed by an afternoon Visit Iby’ Iwacu Cultural Village

After breakfast, you have the option of a golden monkey trek before checking out and driving back to Kigali. You will be taken either to your hotel or to the airport for your onward flight.
