Your Kenyan safari adventure begins in Nairobi, where you will be met at the airport by African Adventure Specialists representative upon arrival at the airport, and after transfer to your hotel for overnight stay in preparation for your safari the next day.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by our driver guide and transfer you to Wilson Airport for a flight to Amboseli National Park (Air Kenya Airlines) departing Wilson airport at 07:30hrs, arriving at Amboseli airstrip at 08:05hrs, met at the airstrip by the driver/guide from the lodge who will transfer you with an en-route game drive to the Lodge for check in and lunch.
Later in the afternoon at 1500hrs depart for an afternoon game drive in the park. (Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest – whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. It is quite an experience to see Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in an early morning. The animal pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain will thrill the photography enthusiast. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its huge elephant herds. You will also see buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and other plain animals in their native juggle residence.
We awaken to the sights and sounds of big game country and, if we’re lucky, to a view of Kilimanjaro often unclouded in the early morning sky. In addition to elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, and the buffalo. Amboseli is sought after by travellers in the known for its breath-taking scenery and easily approachable wildlife. Just after daybreak, we venture into the crisp morning air in search of the great herds. The game drives are sure to reveal great wonders. Magnificent views of snow-capped Kilimanjaro are dominant. The best time to see it, however, is early morning or just around sunset. This is Africa’s highest mountain – some call it “the rooftop of Africa”.
This morning your will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight at 0915hrs to the Maasai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Upon arrival you will be met by the Camp’s representative and transferred to Mara Ngenche with a game drive enroute, arrive at the camp in time for check-in and lunch.
In the evening enjoy a game drive. Masai Mara game reserve is the northern part of the Serengeti, one of Kenya’s most favored game-viewing areas. The reserve covers 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. Afternoon game drive to see the sundowner as you trail the Big 5 i.e. Lions in large prides, Elephants, buffalos, zebras and numerous plain game. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
Morning and afternoon game drives will be conducted by the camp. Spend it viewing game in the vast Masai Mara plains. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara.
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June.
The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to October. The reserve abounds with birdlife since the dose to about 452 species has been recorded.
After breakfast, check-out of your camp and have a morning game drive before being driven to your next camp, upon arrival check-in and after depart for an exciting walking safari accompanied by skilled Maasai guides, during the walking safari you will get a close encounter with various animals such as the big Five (elephnats, lions, rhinos, buffaloes and leopards). You will be informed more about them and learn how to identify their foot prints, skulls and dung.
You will have picnic lunch set and served under the shade of an acacia tree, then relax for a while and go for the afternoon walk. After the experience you will return to your camp, have dinner and stay overnight.
Have breakfast and head to the Naboisho conservancy for a full day game drive together with your packed meals for picnic lunch, Naboisho Conservancy is a community-owned nature conservancy bordering Maasai Mara national reserve. The conservancy is one the conservancies making up the Mara ecosystem and is very vital for the survival of the wildlife in the Mara system, while on the game drive you will encounter a number of animals such as lion, cheetah, elephants, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, leopard, giraffe, and buffalo among others. You will have picnic lunch and then go for another game drive, in the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
After breakfast, you will head to the airstrip where you will catch your local flight to Ukunda on the south coast. You will arrive in the afternoon and check in at the resort of Diani. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to leisure in the resort with the possibility of practicing water activities at your own expense.
Breakfast at the hotel and later spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying the hotel facilities and unwinding at the beach, the beach is the best in the south coast and has been crowned Africa’s leading beach destination. Spend the day relaxing on the beach or by the pool, exploring the local village, or taking part in one of the many activities offered which you can arrange directly with the hotel (e.g., snorkelling, scuba diving, spa treatments, swimming with dolphins, etc.). Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast, depending on your flight timings spend the morning at leisure and later transfer to Mombasa Airport for your onward flight.
