Serengeti n. park. Northern Serengeti – Kogatende

Fly to the fabled Serengeti National Park and settle into your remote and authentic camp. Then, set out on the boundless Serengeti, one of the oldest and least changed ecosystems on earth, where the circle of life plays out every day, as it has for eons. It is home to one of the world’s largest concentrations of wildlife, with lions, hyenas and leopards all endemic. The region also hosts the spectacular Great Migration, when a flurry of wildebeests and zebras arrive in search of grass and water. It is an epic spectacle you may witness, depending on your choice of departure.

Ngorongoro crater.

After breakfast we drive and descend some 610 meters into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day of game viewing drive with picnic lunch at a private scenic site (hippos pool). Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, rhino, golden and black backed jackal, zebra, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. Unmatched for its natural variety and breath taking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exists inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor.

Ngorongoro Highlands.

After leisurely breakfast you depart for a walk in the elephant caves with a local guide. Then return for lunch in the lodge. Discover towering waterfalls and the incredible “elephant caves”, created by elephants digging through dense rock with their tusks to ingest the vitamin-rich soil.

There is a small Endoro River near the caves, and the elder elephants pick this place as a point to spend their old age and finally pass away so some call this an elephant burial ground as well.
